SCHOLARS AT UNILAG-EXETER SYMPOSIUM

The Institute of African and Diaspora Studies (IADS), University of Lagos (UNILAG), in partnership with the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter, United Kingdom held a two-day event at the Arthur Mbanefo Digital Research Center (AMDRC), University of Lagos, between Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

In its commitment to being the fastest-growing intellectual hub on the continent for discourses about Africa and its diasporas, participants at the event discussed the theme ‘Seen from Lagos: African Re-groundings,’ focusing on Africa’s place in the dynamics of global history and ways by which her fortunes could best be enhanced by looking inward in recognition of its own physical and spiritual endowments.

This event is an indication to the IADS’s commitment to collaborations that advance the cause of knowledge for tangible development in the African continent and its diasporas.
