On Thursday, July 3, 2025, the Institute of African and Diaspora Studies hosted Prof. Celso, Acting Consul General of the Brazilian Consulate, Head of Education and Culture, Brazilian Consulate, Mr. Adeniran Arimoro and Prof. Grace Adeniyi-Ogunyankin, who delivered the keynote address at the Annual Cluster Conference (May 14-16, 2025) at the University of Bayreuth, Germany.

Discussions delved into the dynamic intersections of language, philosophy, and Pan-African collaboration, unveiling promising opportunities for Brazil-Nigeria partnerships across academia, culture, and beyond.

Prof. Celso articulated Brazil’s commitment to serving as a strategic ally in fostering cross-continental dialogue and shared insights on forthcoming scholarly initiatives, including a significant Pan-African symposium planned for Togo this year.
