COMMENCEMENT OF ORUNMILA PROJECT

Professor Muyiwa Falaiye and his team commenced work on the search for the relationship between, the Ifa and Afa tradition in Western and Eastern Nigeria respectively. This search took them to Enugu campus of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where they carried out extensive interview with Professor Ume of the department of Geoinformatics & Surveying, who has a wealth of knowledge on the Afa tradition among the Igbo people. Professor Chidioze Okoro and others also contributed to the information gathered from Enugu on Afa tradition.

THE FOUR ACC DIRECTORS AT OUAGADOUGOU, BURKINA FASO.

The Directors of the four African Cluster Centre (ACC), met at Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso between February 28, and March 4, 2022 to collaborate on the Cluster’s agenda of “Re-configuring African Studies”. They also met with the Seventeen (17) Principal Investigators at the Ouagadougou ACC.

The person, who will be part of, and fully sponsored by the project ‘Socio political thoughts of Orunmila in the Ifa indigenous knowledge system’ must have a  first degree from Arts or Social Sciences, a second degree from  same background but preferably African Studies, and with grades  compatible  with the   direct Ph.D. requirements of  the University of Lagos.
