Project Team

Prof. Dr. Taibat Lawanson is the spokesperson for the Mobilities Research Section of the Lagos African Cluster Centre (Lagos ACC). She is a Professor of Urban Management and Governance at the Urban and Regional Planning Department, University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Dr. Abisoye Eleshin specialises in African Languages and Culture. He is a member of the Knowleges Research Section of the Lagos ACC and a Research Fellow at the Institute of African and Diaspora Studies (IADS), University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Prof. Dr. ‘Kayode Eesuola is the Spokesperson for the Knowledges Research section of the Lagos ACC. His area of specialisation is in African Political thoughts and Political behaviour. He is a Research  Associate Professor at the Institute of African and Diaspora Studies (IADS), University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Prof. Dr. Franca Attoh is a member of the Mobilities Research section of the Lagos ACC and a specialist in irregular migration, Gender studies, Sociology of the family and Social Change. She is an Associate Professor in the department of Sociology, University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Damilola Olalekan is an early-career researcher. She is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, University of Lagos. She is a research assistant on this project.
Masoudi Oyewunmi is an early-career researcher. He is a doctoral candidate in the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Lagos. He is a research assistant on this project.
Deji Akinpelu is a documentary filmmaker. He is the founder of Rethinking Cities Initiative, an advocacy group that focuses on urban development issues and communicating possible innovations, using the arts as a means. Deji Akinpelu also uses photography as a means to explore social issues that exist in the society with the hope that it will stir up necessary conversations that will lead to the change. Several of his works have been published and exhibited by Amnesty International, Agence Française de Développement (ADF), Slum Dwellers International and Heinrich Boll Stiftung Nigeria.
