Prof. Anthony Okeregbe highlighted the growing prominence of performative Christianity, characterised by fervent prayer, music, prophecy, healing, and communal worship. He argued that these practices represent more than religious expressions; they constitute meaningful ways through which believers encounter and know the divine.<\/div>

The lecture further engaged with the philosophical ideas of Senegalese scholar and statesman L\u00e9opold S\u00e9dar Senghor<\/b>, particularly his concept of “reason by embrace,”<\/b>\u00a0which proposes that knowledge can emerge through participation, emotion, rhythm, and communion rather than detached analytical reasoning alone.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

According to Dr. Okeregbe, Aladura spirituality demonstrates that prayer, prophecy, and healing are not merely devotional activities but also constitute important epistemic practices through which communities construct meaning, identity, and relationships with the Transcendent.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
